International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste

This online event was held on 29/09/2020 to eTwinning live via Adobe connect. Students worked in national teams so as to develop the situation on their countries; prepared posters and infographics, and then all the coordinators presented their students' work via a shared presentation
World Food Day

On World Food Day celebrations students presented the link between “Nutrition and Climate Change" by using code (scratch) so as to take part in CodeWeek challenge.
They also had to present that in the nearby primary schools students but unfortunately due to covid pandemic they couldn't enter the schools. It was our pleasure that our Turkish partners managed to visit a primary school in their area.
Erasmus Days
15-17/10
Our topic requires multi-stakeholder involvement in order our objectives to be achieved, so open events were organised in partner schools having as main aim to present our new approved project to our students, parents, local authorities and stakeholders. In order to make our project more visible besides presentations, films, etc. we also included some social media events.
World Vegan Month
November
During this month all the vegan eaters celebrate their lifestyle. Do you know what exactly defines a vegan? Is it way of life based to health claims, environmental claims, or animal protection claims?
It could be based to all these. Veganism is a way of life that eat a plant based diet and excludes all forms of cruelty to animals (and their products) for food or any other purpose.
Food Service Safety Month
December
Every year since 1994, December marks Worldwide Food Service Safety Month. The annual observation was established to remind everyone, from the professional food service industry, to cooks at home around the world, that food safety is of supreme importance.
World Soil day

World Soil Day is an annual designation observed at 5th December. We joined the #WorldSoilDay campaign "Keep soil alive, Protect soil biodiversity" aiming to help raising awareness of the importance of maintaining healthy ecosystems and human well-being by addressing the growing challenges in soil management, fighting soil biodiversity loss, increasing soil awareness and encouraging governments, organizations, communities and individuals around the world to commit to proactively improving soil health.
Get a Balanced Life Month

Balance is so important for our lives and health, but it isn't always so easy to be achieved. With January being Get a Balanced Life Month, there's no better time than the beginning of the year to make some changes to your daily routine for a better, more fulfilled life.
World Cancer Day

World Cancer Day 2021 was led by the theme “I Am and I Will”, an empowering call for personal commitment that represents the power of our actions taken now to reduce the growing impact of cancer., so we focused on how healthy eating could help in the prevention of cancer.
Safer Internet Day

The theme for Safer Internet Day 2021 was online wellbeing and digital resilience. On that occasion, workshops on digital literacy, and presentation of student works (comics, posters, infographics,etc) on the topic of Internet safety was organized in all partner schools.
World Wildlife Day

The 2021 theme of world wildlife day is “Forests and Livelihoods: sustaining people and planet". As on the 21th of March is celebrated the International day of forests we asked students to work in national level and create posters or/and infographics where they share what have learnt so as to spread awareness especially to children and youth as they are the future leaders of wildlife conservation and they deserve a future where we humans live in harmony with wildlife that share the planet with us.
World Planting Day

World Planting Day reminds us to start thinking about gardening and growing healthy, nutritious foods. Our partner school of Austria sent us some seeds so as to take part to the Erasmus campaign "With Erasmus we grow more". We encouraged students, besides other tasks, to plant those, and upload -once a week- photos of their seeds' growth.
International Mother Earth Day

International Mother Earth Day (22/4) provides an opportunity to raise global public awareness of the challenges to the well-being of the planet and all the life it supports.
Environment Day

The theme for World Environment Day 2021 is “Ecosystem Restoration”. As ecosystem restoration can take many forms (e.g.planting trees, gardening, cleaning up coasts, recycling, etc) all partner schools organised learning and teaching environmental activities in a variety of topics.
STEAM ON EDU CONFERENCE

The Regional Center for Educational Planning of Western Greece (PE.K.ES. D.E.), Computer Technology Institute and Press “Diofantus” (C.T.I.) and Hellenic Open University (H.O.U. co-organized in 7-9th of May the Panhellenic and International Conference on “STE(A)M educators and education”. The organizers through this conference aspired to "be a step of academic dialogue of the members of the scientific and educational community of the country and Europe, as well as other stakeholders, on modern scientific approaches and policies in the field of STE(A)M education, so that through the presentations of expert and distinguished scientists from Greece and abroad, to provoke a fruitful dialogue on the developments and implementation of the STE(A)M educational approach in Greek and European Education."
We feel honored as an educational practice entitled "A STEM approach utilizing ICT and Educational Robotics: Quality control on fruit and vegetable preparative processing", referring to an integrated learning scenario that teachers A. Mylona, G. Pesic and V. Bezaiti designed, was choosen to be presented there.
